Served aboard all operational Royal NZ Naval units. In his last years of service his duties included:


  • Fleet Boarding Team Training, Policy review, Operational Sequence of events and establishing Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Small Arms training, assigned Fleet Force Protection Training and Pre- Deployment Training Chief.

  • Conduct Training in Rules of Engagement and Use of Force for Operational units

  • Conduct Critical Incident Management (Defensive tactics) aboard operational RNZN units.

  • Train and evaluate operational unit boarding and ship protection teams in all aspects of armed and unarmed procedures.
